About Us

We’re a partnership of four Community Server technical evangelists focused on the building of online communities and products.

  • We believe that organisations can improve their image and profit by reaching out past their corporate walls to their customers.
  • We believe that markets are conversations; that people want to be treated as humans, not consumers, and they want to be heard.
  • We believe that online communities are an ideal way to foster that kind of relationship between a company and its customers. We believe that through a community, a business can win trust by presenting an authentic, human face to their customers. If the business has a good product, the customers will tend to spend their money with that business.

Gary McPherson

Gary first encountered Community Server when he decided to use NGallery to implement a community website. Showing his entrepreneurial side, he launched a cultural community website in 2005 based upon Community Server. He and his partners hadn’t intended to turn it into a business, but its membership quickly grew and they were able to monetize the community. It thrives to this day and the relationships of its members extend outside the online world into real life gatherings and events. Read More About Gary Here

Mike Trefry

Mike carried his architectural skills from Selective Insurance over to his work with Community Server. He has come up with novel Community Server applications such as the Video application being used at http://www.blogcastrepository.com, a MySpace-like Member Spaces add-on, and an online calendar application. These are things that people ask for and Mike has the ability and wherewithal to make them. Read More About Mike Here
